Only a short walk from the historic town of Tenterfield, Behind the Hedge offers visitors a plethora of English plants, espaliers, and fruit trees to marvel at. Additionally, we provide accommodation options, including a charming 1-bedroom studio. For those travelling with caravans, camper trailers, or motorhomes, we have ample space available, ensuring a comfortable stay amidst our beautiful gardens. Our venue is perfect for hosting birthdays, anniversaries, wedding ceremonies, and any other special events in a stylish, natural setting.

As a pet-friendly venue (please inquire before arrival), you can bring along your furry friend to accompany you on a leisurely stroll through our expansive two-acre gardens. Our gardens are easily accessible to everyone, with wheelchair-friendly pathways and a fully equipped disabled toilet for added convenience.

Guests can also enjoy high tea and light lunches to complement their garden visit. Additionally, guests can relish the warmth of their own private wood fire in one of our fire braziers during the colder months.

True to our namesake, the large hedge enclosing the property ensures privacy for those hosting special events in our gardens.
