Paddle, Hike & Explore Nature
The Clarence River is a highlight of the Northern Rivers region, winding past Border Ranges towns through granite country and on to the Coral Sea. Launch a kayak, throw in a fishing line or stay at one of the campgrounds dotted along the river.
The Clarence Canoe and Kayak Trail, a 195km whitewater trail, has sections of paddling to suit beginners and challenge seasoned kayakers.
The upper river and it creeks around Drake provide great opportunities for fishing, with bass, bream and cod.
Trail riding and 4WD enthusiasts will find nearby Girard State Forest a haven for adventure.
