Ride Responsibly

Respect the Land

Tenterfield's landscapes are rich in cultural, environmental, and historical value. Stay on designated trails, avoid riding through sensitive vegetation or wet areas, and always follow local signage and park regulations.

Share the Trails

Many routes are shared with walkers, wildlife, and the occasional vehicle. Slow down around others, give a friendly call or bell ring when approaching, and be prepared to yield.

Leave No Trace

Carry out everything you bring in. Snack wrappers, tubes, and bottles don't belong on the trails. If nature calls, step well away from waterways and bury waste responsibly.

Check Conditions

Weather and road surfaces can change quickly. Check forecasts, trail conditions, and park alerts before setting off. After heavy rain, some gravel or clay-based roads can become unsafe or easily damaged.

Be Bushfire Aware

This is a high-risk bushfire region. Avoid riding on extreme or catastrophic fire danger days, and always stay informed via the NSW RFS and National Parks alerts.

Gear Up Safely

Wear a helmet, carry enough water, and bring basic repair gear. If riding solo or off-grid, let someone know your route and estimated return time. In remote areas, consider carrying a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon).

Ride smart, tread lightly, and soak up the best of Tenterfield on two wheels.
